 Hourly advice  "At last, an honest woman!"                             That's what an owner said after I told him his

brochure looked like a pizza menu.  It did, and none of

his employees had the heart to say it

 (and he wasn't selling pizza!).  If you want to grow

your business faster than it's growing now,

why wouldn't you spend an hour every month or so with

 me on the phone.  Move faster.  Avoid mistakes.  It's a

no-brainer! If you aren't getting a 10X return on the time

we spend, for goodness sake stop!

Marketing Guide  using me as your marketing guide is

an inexpensive way I can help you move your marketing

forward.  It is consulting in its purest sense: I’m guiding

 and giving advice, you or your people are doing the work.

 It’s designed to answer questions, brainstorm ideas,

help you avoid mistakes, keep you on track and moving

forward and, bottom line, increase your sales faster than

 you could alone.  We meet once a month at a

prescheduled day and time for about an hour, you initiate

the telephone call.  We talk about whatever you want. 

Calls generally end with tasks outlined and

assigned—things for you to accomplish before our next

meeting.  In between meetings you may email me for

follow-up questions and advice as often as you wish.        

 

Marketing Check-Up  A Marketing Check-Up is a

three-week process designed to uncover what about your

marketing is working, what's not, and what changes

to make, all based on customer-driven information and

recommendations.  Answers, quickly, based on your

customers' perspective.  Powerful stuff.  

 

Message Assessment  People buy from you for a variety

 of reasons.  And those reasons change as their world

 changes. 

Messages that don't change with the buying motivations

of the people they target cost companies sales. 

We look at your current message (sales presentations,

 literature, Internet, etc.) and interview a handful of your

customers to find out how well your message mirrors

your customers' current buying motivations.  This can be a surprisingly quick, inexpensive path to increased sales.

 

Direct response marketing (mail, print, electronic)  

Too few people who do what I do have experience in

 direct response (marketing where you actually ask

people to take action; pick up the phone, place an order,

 request more information).  Far fewer have anything

close to our experience.  If the people you're talking to

about your marketing are talking about branding and not

about generating leads, run, do not walk, to the nearest

computer and email me.

 

Advertising  Currently we have clients with ads in local

 magazines and newspapers, national trade magazines,

radio, TV and online ads.  We can concept, design,

write and place your advertising for you.

 

Marketing Plans  We can lay out what to do and how

to do it for the next 12 months.  We look at how to fine

turn your message to connect with where your

customers are, today, not 12 months ago when you

 wrote your brochure.  We also look at the methods to

deliver your message, both on and offline.  And then help

 you implement, test and revise our recommendations. 

All our recommendations are customer-driven. 

 

Websites  We know how to concept, design and write

your website, drive traffic to your website and what to do

 to convert visitors into inquiries

 (a small but important detail many firms overlook!).  All

at costs that are about half (or less!) what most web-only

marketing firms charge.  How do we do it so well? 

We're marketers, not HTML and design people.  

 

New product introductions and start-ups  These can

 be tough sledding, and we have the scars to prove it.  If

you have no awareness in a marketplace, traditional

marketing methods can fall on their face.  You have to

make noise, get noticed, find back doors,

scramble--most of which marketing people haven't had

to do.  You need to email us, we have stories that'll give

you Goosebumps!

 

Video testimonials  You're still doing written

testimonials?!  The sentence or two or a copy of a letter?

That's sooooooooo 80s!  Like putting a print ad on TV. 

Video testimonials can tell a story, communicate the

"soft" reasons why people select you and, best of all,

ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE the message you're trying

to send (when was the last time you actually read a

testimonial?).

 

Event Planning  use  us and our resources to organize

an event that they will still be talking about next year.

The key to a successful event is organization and

    Our Methodology

    We interview your customer contact people and

     your customers (the type you want more of,

     not a cross section).

     

    We ask your people questions about who you are,

    why you're different, why people buy from you 

    and how your people feel you stack up against

    the competition.

     

    We ask your customers many of the same

    questions, plus we ask about their expectations

    and preferences regarding purchasing products

    or services like yours.

     

    Now we know your perceptions and your

    customers' perceptions, which, by the way, are

     typically very similar. But it is in the small

    differences where your marketing (message and

    methods) breaks down; where your market may

    have "out-grown" your message, and/or where a

     method may have simply lost its impact. And it's 

    in these small differences where we add value.

     

    Our interviews are not an attempt to give you a

    statistically valid picture of your market. They

     are designed to dig down below the surface

    answers most customers give to uncover the

    nuances of what can make your company a

    unique and compelling choice for the people we

     interview.

     

    Two things make our methodology remarkable.

    First, it isn't complicated or time consuming so it

     won't cost you a lot of money or time.

     

    Second, it works (let the people you want to

     persuade tell you, in their words, how to

    persuade them). Regardless of the industry.
